Superior Protection Inside

The blue interior coating - a factory applied, baked on, thermosetting enamel is applied over a 5 stage cleaned and conversion coated aluminum substrate.  This coating on the inside prevents corrosion which could be initiated by the presence of moisture between the jacketing and the insulation.  The protective blue coating is applied via twin roll coil coating process.  The thermosetting enamel coating is specially formulated and tested to provide a virtually pore free barrier of the entire interior side of the metal jacketing.

Superior Protection Outside

The primary purpose of jacketing is to protect the insulation from the effects of weather.  The coating on the inside prevents corrosion to the interior of the jacket.  However, the outside of the jacketing may also suffer attacks in harsh environments.  Unprotected jacketing will become dull, grey and pitted over time in a dirty industrial or marine environment.  To protect the exterior from corrosion and maintain the attractive appearance of the product, an exterior coating of baked on clear colourless thermosetting enamel is applied.
